Dr. Fritz Biveridge is a Historical Archaeologist/Cultural anthropologist, with specialty in cross-cultural contacts in West Africa, the trans-Atlantic slave trade and the architectural monuments (castles, forts) associated with the period.

Some of his major archaeological investigations have been undertaken at Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, Fort St. Jago, Fort Kongestein, Fort Metal Cross, Fort Fredensborg, and Fort Ruychaver.

He also has fifty-one research publications in peer reviewed journals and books, over twenty years archaeological and ethnographic research and teaching experience at University of Ghana (UG) and University of Rochester (NY), and made over thirty international conference presentations worldwide.
