Rev. John Osborne Castro Nkum is a Development Planning and Organisation and Systems Development consultant. He has worked as a process consultant, program evaluator, trainer, and facilitator of participatory project planning and project management programmes at a community, district/provincial and national levels since 1988

Mr Nkum has also facilitated organization development and change management processes, including whole system re-structuring, team building, group dynamics retreats, multistakeholder dialogue processes and executive coaching for many national and international agencies and leaders in Africa, especially Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Zambia, and Malawi. Some of these organizations include national and international NGOs such as GIZ, WANEP, Kofi Annan Peacekeeping Training Centre, Christian Aid, and Christian Council of Ghana, IITA, SNV, IBIS as well corporate bodies such as banks and other financial institutions. Mr. Nkum has trained many trainers and consultants in process consulting, facilitation/moderation, multi-stakeholder dialogues, conflict transformation and other dialogical and participatory methodologies as well as organization and systems development, including change management processes in the Western and Southern Africa regions
Rev. Nkum holds a Masters Degree in Development Planning and Management (1988), a BSc. Degree in Planning (1979) and a Diploma in Physical Planning (1977). He also holds Post Graduate certificates in Gestalt Methods – Working with Groups (2001); Advanced Group Work – Design Skills in Organisational Setting (2001); Working with Intimate Systems, applied to Couples and Families and other Small Systems (2001); Working with Individuals in Organisational Setting (2000); Managing Organisational Change (1997), Gestalt Approach to Organisation and System Development (1996), Process Oriented Supervision in Multicultural Context (1993), and Rural Energy Planning (1990). Mr Nkum is also a certified user of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) psychometric instrument from Otto Kroeger Associates, USA.
Rev. John Nkum is a founding Partner of GestaltOD Partners LLC, a US-based organization delivering the International Gestalt Organization and Leadership Development (iGOLD) program. He is also a member of the Founders’ Circle of the Organization & Systems Development Integrative Study Centre, Ohio, the USA, and a certified user of the Gestalt Organization and Systems body of knowledge.
Rev. John Nkum is also an ordained and gazetted Reverend Minister and the Senior Associate Pastor in charge of the Tesano Baptist Church in Accra, Ghana, where he volunteers his services in teaching, counselling and couples/family therapy
